Dr. Preeti Singh, founder and director, chose the path of entrepreneurship over academia after completing her PhD. Driven by a passion for innovation and rural empowerment, she launched Subhag Himalayan Resources to bring global recognition to mountain products and solve the long-standing problem of market access for Himalayan farmers.
Many farmers in Uttarakhand grow organic herbs and crops, but face low incomes due to lack of packaging, branding, and direct market connections. Dr. Preetis model bridges this gapaggregating, processing, and marketing these products domestically and internationally.
Today, over 50 farmers work with Subhag Himalayan Resources, cultivating herbs like Picrorhiza, Ashwagandha, Costus, Jatamansi, and Raspberry, as well as flowers like Rhododendron, Rose, and Rosemary, and mountain grains like Wild Mustard, Ragi, and Barnyard. Our products reach markets in the US, Korea, and across India, along with growing demand from Kerla, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat.
